Figure skater Kim Yu-na and speed skater Lee Sang-hwa were among the stars in attendance when the Korean delegation gathered at the Taeneung Training Center in Seoul on Thursday to hone its team spirit ahead of the Sochi Olympics.
Led by Kim Jae-youl, president of the Korea Staking Union, the athletes vowed to do their best at the Winter Games, which get under way in Russia on Feb. 7.
Korea is sending its largest-ever delegation of 64 athletes and 49 officials to Sochi. The goal is to win at least four gold medals and finish in the top 10 for the third consecutive Olympics.
The main group will arrive in the Russian resort city on the Black Sea via a charter flight on Feb. 1.
