Big Firms to Dial Down Recruitment in 2014

The nation's top 500 companies will hire fewer employees this year compared to 2013.

According to a survey by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 243 of the largest firms in Korea plan to employee a total of 30,902 new workers this year, down 1.5 percent from a year earlier.

This breaks down into an average of 127.2 new jobs per company, down from 129.1 last year. / Jan. 16, 2014 08:58 KST
