Rapper Psy will promote Korea at the World Economic Forum in Davos and give a performance on the sidelines of the event on Jan. 21, one day before it officially gets under way.
He was invited to perform at the Korea Night event as President Park Geun-hye has on several occasions mentioned him as a model case of a "creative economy," a key phrase of her administration, according to the Federation of Korean Industries.
The Korea Night event has been held since 2009 to promote the country to global leaders attending the forum. Now in its sixth year, it will be attended by Park and over 30 Korean economic leaders as well as 400 foreign dignitaries.
Some 2,800 global leaders will participate in the Davos Forum from Jan. 22-25.
