Professional gamer Lee Jae-dong has been included in Forbes' annual list of the top 30 up-and-coming stars under the age of 30 in the video game industry.
The U.S. business magazine makes a similar list for each of 15 industries it covers such as music, finance and sports.
"One of the world's most successful professional gamers, nicknamed 'The Tyrant' and 'The Legend Killer.' Lee is a World Cyber Games champion, two-time StarCraft League champion, and one of the highest-earning e-Sports players ever, taking home more than US$489,000 in prize money over the course of his career so far," the magazine said.
Tennis player Maria Sharapova ranked first in the sports category; Lucas Duplan, who runs the mobile payments startup Clinkle, was No. 1 in finance; Evan Spiegel, the co-founder of Snapchat, a photo messaging application, was considered the hottest prospect in the technology world; and Bruno Mars in music.
