Hyundai is set to debut the new Genesis sedan in North America at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.
Hyundai Motor America on Friday said the new Genesis "will be heading to PepCom's Digital Experience to premier Hyundai's next generation Blue Link telematics platform and infotainment system prior to its debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show" at the Mirage Hotel and Casino on Jan. 6.
It is rare to see a car unveiled at an electronics show, highlighting the car's cutting-edge technologies.
The "telematics platform" enables wireless Internet use in the car.
This is not the first time that Hyundai is taking part in the CES, but in the past the firm only unveiled new IT features.
Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota are also taking part in the CES, taking up a combined space of over 13,000 sq.m.
