Several baseball stadiums named after Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin will be built in Ryu's hometown of Incheon.
The Incheon city government is due to sign an agreement with Ryu next Tuesday to help develop sports and young athletes in the city.
The deal entails the construction of two regular-sized stadiums and one smaller stadium for children.
Construction and management will be overseen by the foundation that Ryu's family is about to launch.
In March, Ryu expressed his willingness to sponsor talented young baseball players in the city. The message was conveyed by his father.
