The employment rate of foreigners living in Korea is on the decline despite a rise in their overall population.
Statistics Korea says the number of foreigners working in the country reached 760,000 this May, down 3.5 percentage points from June the previous year.
Experts attribute the decline to 67,000 overseas Koreans and foreign workers leaving the country because their five-year work visa expired.
The data shows nearly half of all non-Koreans employed in May were working in the manufacturing sector.
