As Los Angeles Dodgers' Ryu Hyun-jin returned to Korea last week for some much-needed rest after a successful debut season in Major League Baseball, the focus has now shifted to Kia Tigers' pitcher Yoon Suk-min, who is currently in the U.S.
Yoon headed there recently for tryouts with several MLB clubs.
According to several sources, the Minnesota Twins in the American League have been aggressively pursuing a deal that would bring the right-hander to the team. The one sticking point could be the condition of his right shoulder, as a nagging injury sidelined him for most of the 2013 season.
But with the Tigers' ace agreeing to work out with the team during the off-season, the situation is looking increasingly optimistic.
