Hyundai Motor and BMW are recalling certain models to repair faulty parts, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said on Wednesday.
Some 103,214 Hyundai Genesis premium sedans are on the recall list due to defective ABS brakes caused by corrosion of the brake valves.
BMW is recalling 5,557 vehicles for faulty front electronic modules that may cause electric parts such as emergency lights and windshield wipers to malfunction. This has affected 10 of the German automaker's models.
Subject to the recall are Genesis models produced from late December 2007 to mid-March in 2012. Meanwhile, the 10 BMW models -- 116i, 335i, 320i, 328i, 320d, 320xd, 320d ED, 335iH, 118d and 120d -- were manufactured between October 2011 and August 2012.
Owners can get free repairs at the respective automaker's service centers -- Genesis from Thursday and BMW from Friday.
