Korea has been ranked one of the top places in the world to do business. It edged up one notch to No. 7 in a global ranking of countries' business environments by the World Bank.
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said Korea has kept its place in the top 10 of 189 countries on the World Bank's "Doing Business" ranking for the third straight year. The ministry added that the improved business conditions stem from the government's efforts to streamline business regulations.
Singapore led the annual competitiveness scorecard, followed by Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United States.
