The organizing committee of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Paralympics unveiled the official emblem of the Games at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul on Tuesday. It said the ice crystal-shaped emblem symbolizes all snow, ice and winter sports athletes.
Philip Craven, president of the International Paralympic Committee, and Yoon Seok-yong, president of the Korean Paralympic Committee, attended the unveiling ceremony. Also among the 400 guests were Yoo Jin-ryong, minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and Choi Moon-soon, governor of Gangwon Province.
The Paralympics will take place from March 9 to 18 after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics from Feb. 9 to 25.
