Korean Air's Profits Dip in Q3 as Japanese Fliers Thin Out

      Korean Air posted an operating profit of W160.1 billion in the third quarter, down 43.2 percent from 2012, the carrier said on Thursday (US$1=W1,063).

      Its sales dropped 3.4 percent to W3.18 trillion during the same period.

      As the number of Japanese visitors to Korea decreased due to the weakening yen, passenger traffic from abroad declined 6 percent, it added.
