Lee Chung-yong of Bolton Wanderers is embroiled in yet another round of trade rumors. The Daily Star on Tuesday said "Everton and Sunderland will have to battle to convince Bolton to sell Lee Chung-yong, after boss Dougie Freedman reveals he intends on keeping" Lee.

Lee, whose contract runs until June 2015, has so far stayed with Bolton despite numerous trade rumors during the summer.

Bolton is currently sitting in 21st place out of 24 teams in the second-tier Championship League in England with nine points from one win, six draws and five losses.

"Despite Everton boss Roberto Martinez getting off to a great start at Goodison Park, the Spaniard will be looking to add to his squad in January to continue re-building the team he inherited from David Moyes in the summer," the paper added.

Everton is currently in seventh place in the Premier League.

Sunderland, which has two Korean players -- Ki Sung-yueng and Ji Dong-won -- is at the bottom of the Premier League with just one point from one draw and seven losses and in a desperate need to break the impasse.

The transfer window in the Premier League opens for a month in January.

Freedman maintains that he will not sell Lee. In an interview with the Bolton News, he was quoted as saying, "He is an exceptional player but he hasn't found his top form since that broken leg. But when he gets to the Christmas period you will see a top Chungy... Will he be going anywhere? Absolutely no chance. And I think Chungy realizes that as well. He has a World Cup coming up and the last thing he needs is to be moving to a different country or a different club and maybe not playing. Chungy is a good lad and understands that."
