One of the largest festivals in the country featuring chrysanthemums will be held at Masan Port in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province for 10 days from Friday.
Some 770,000 different varieties of the flower will be on show.
They have all been cultivated for the last year to ensure they bloom at the same time at the city's annual flower festival, which is already in its 13th year.
This year's festival will display various artworks using chrysanthemums that resemble the city's landmark buildings and structures.
There will be also several themed zones available for families and couples to give them unforgettable memories as they enjoy the chrysanthemum blossoms.
"We have done our best to give visitors a better experience at the festival this year by improving the way we've arranged and organized the booths, sculptures and events, while also closely cooperating with the relevant organizations," said Park Wan-soo, the city's mayor.
Last year's festival attracted 1.52 million visitors.
