Gyeongbok Palace, the main royal palace of the Chosun Dynasty, came alive with lights on Wednesday.
Night opening hours last from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day until Oct. 28 for up to 1,500 people per day.
One thousand tickets sold out shortly after online booking started on Oct. 11, and another 500 on-the-spot tickets are available on a daily basis at the ticket office for W3,000.
Out of 500 tickets reserved for sales on the spot, 55 are allocated to foreigners and the elderly. Fifty tickets a day are reserved for the disabled and an accompanying adult free of charge.
