Shin Seung-hun held an event for fans to listen to new songs from "Great Wave," the first album he has released in four years, at a cafe in Sinsa-dong, Seoul on Tuesday afternoon.
"The album is the final part of my mini-album series, called '3 Waves of Unexpected Twist,' after 'Radio Wave' in 2008 and 'Love O'clock' in 2009," the singer said.
He said he explored various genres through the trilogy, drawing an analogy with how film directors sometimes make experimental shorts.
Shin said that "My Melody," the final track of the album, expresses feelings he was unable to communicate by other means. "I often felt shy and awkward about telling my thoughts directly to my fans, so I recorded this song instead," he said.
