Helicopter tours for some areas of Seoul will be available from Wednesday.
According to Seoul City on Tuesday, Blue Airlines, a private company operating helicopters, will provide the tour service which consists of four routes -- Gwangnaru, Jamsil, Yeouido, and the World Trade Center -- departing from a heliport near the Han River Park in Jamsil.
The tour service was approved by the Seoul Regional Aviation Administration under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport early this month.
The tours will be conducted in four-seater R44 helicopters made by American company Robinson in 2010, which are often used by news broadcasters. The flights will last from five to 15 minutes, with fares differing according to the flight time and number of passengers.
The Jamsil course, which flies over Jamsil Sports Complex, takes five minutes. A two-person tour costs W70,000 (US$1=W1,065) per person, while the cost drops to W55,000 each for three people.
