LG Electronics is gearing up to take on the global market with its premium G Series mobile gadgets.
In a press conference on Monday, the electronics maker said it will soon launch the G Pad 8.3 tablet PC here, following the G2 smartphone that recently hit the market.
The G Pad 8.3 will be released in over 30 countries by the end of this year and will cost around W550,000 (US$1=W1,073). With the gadget, LG is having another go at the global tablet PC market after a failure two years ago.
LG says it has focused on improving interoperability with smartphones. The new tablet can be connected with all Android smartphones as long as the OS is the Jelly Bean or subsequent versions. LG plans to emphasize the advantages of using the tablet along with the G2 smartphone.
