Korea is set to celebrate the 65th Armed Forces Day on Tuesday with a large-scale parade in Seoul. The Ministry of National Defense said it will feature displays of around 100 military vehicles carrying Korea's latest weapons, while about 4,500 troops will march alongside.
Earlier in the day there will be a ceremony at Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province with President Park Geun-hye and Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin in attendance. U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, who is visiting Seoul for security talks, will also be present.
Roadways near City Hall, Seoul Station and Sungnyemun or South Gate will be partially or completely shut off to traffic from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
