No Clouds Expected to Mask Full Moon at Chuseok

Clear skies should ensure that the full moon is clearly visible across the nation on Thursday night, when families get together to celebrate Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said on Friday that the Chuseok holiday that runs from Wednesday through Friday should generally see cloud-free skies nationwide.

But due to a dry, cold air mass over the peninsula, the mornings and evenings will be chilly, with big temperature swings between day and night.

"Although it might rain in some areas during the Chuseok holidays, they will only be very light showers," the KMA forecast. "But people are advised to pay attention to their health as the mercury will plummet at night."
