The leaves will take on their riotous autumnal colors starting on Mt. Seorak around Sept. 30 this year, the Korea Meteorological Administration said Thursday.
Fall colors will spread south to central parts and Mt. Jiri around Oct. 4-16, while while the southern parts of the country will be able to enjoy the autumn leaves between Oct. 14 and 31.
The colors will reach their peak some two weeks after the start, so central parts will see the richest colors in mid- to late October and the south from late October to mid-November.
The fall foliage on Mt. Seorak will be at its most impressive on Oct. 18, on Mt. Jiri on Oct. 24, on Mt. Sogni on Oct. 27 and on Mt. Mudeung on Nov. 6.
