Los Angeles Dodgers starter Ryu Hyun-jin and Cincinnati Reds hitter Choo Shin-soo will square off for a second time this season on Friday at the Reds' Great American Ball Park. Ryu will start in the first of the three-game series.
Ryu won the first clash of Korea's leading Major League Baseball players at Dodger Stadium in late July, making this the perfect opportunity for Choo to redeem himself by seizing on his home field advantage.
Choo has also been on a hot streak recently, and has just one homerun and three stolen bases to go to join the 20-20 club this season.
Meanwhile, Ryu's away ERA of 4.05 is significantly higher than his record of 2.07 at home, meaning he will have his work cut out for him.
