Choi Kyung-ju hit a hole in one on Saturday during the third round of The Barclays, the first leg of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup Playoffs, at Jersey City's Liberty National Golf Course in New Jersey.
He teed off with a pitching wedge on the par-3 No. 14 and watched as the ball bounced in front of the flag pole before disappearing from sight.
Choi finished the US$8-million tournament tied for 68th place after shooting a 7-over-par 291. Adam Scott of Australia clinched the $1.44-million winner's purse with an 11-under 273. Tiger Woods was one stroke behind for a share of second.
It was only the second time in his career that Choi has managed a hole in one on the PGA Tour. He first did so during the first round of the Compaq Classic in 2001.
