Ryu Hyun-jin sustained a second consecutive loss on Saturday, surrendering five hits and four runs in five innings as the Boston Red Sox went on to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 at Dodger Stadium.
Ryu's fifth loss of the season took his ERA from 2.95 to 3.08.
His remarkable winning streak, which has seen him amass 12 wins on his debut season in Major League Baseball, came to an end against the Miami Marlins on Aug. 19.
Saturday's result marked the first time that Ryu has failed to post a quality start on 12 occasions at the club's home ground.
His next start is scheduled for later this week against the San Diego Padres at home.
