Seoul citizens are exposed to second-hand smoke for about 13 minutes a day on average, the city government claimed Monday. The involuntary exposure lasts about 10 minutes indoors and three minutes outdoors.
This figures come from a straw poll of 1,000 adults.
Streets and parks topped the list of places where people experience second-hand smoke. Some 86.1 percent of respondents said they came near smokers outdoors, as compared to 65.3 percent who said it happens indoors.
Some 61.1 percent said they experience second-hand smoke in pubs or bars.
