Piccadilly Lights in London Promote Tourism to Korea

The lights of London's Piccadilly Circus are a magnet for tourists from all over the globe. Every day thousands of people point their cameras at the digital landscape, making it an obvious platform for the likes of Samsung and Hyundai to showcase their brands.

Now, the Korea Tourism Organization has got in on the act to celebrate 130 years of diplomatic ties between the U.K. and Korea, by embarking on an extensive advertising campaign.

Part of this campaign uses the neon canvas to cleverly morph the silhouette of London's great landmarks with that of Seoul's before transforming them into the shaking hands of friendship. "Recharge your energy" by visiting Korea, the slogan urges people.

With rapper Psy featuring in one of the U.K.'s most watched programs, "Britain's Got Talent," and Samsung, Hyundai and now the Korea Tourism Organization featuring in the heart of Piccadilly Circus, it is clear that Korea has made major strides in the last 130 years.
