The bodies of what are believed to be two Korean women have been found in New York in recent days.
The first was found badly decomposed in the woods across from the parking lot of Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, one of the largest outlet malls in the U.S. The identity of the body is still unknown, but believed to be of an Asian woman in her 50s.
Next to the remains, seven painkillers from Korea and a plastic bag with the logo of a Korean cosmetics company were found. Police carried out an autopsy and said she probably died a year ago and was between 145 cm and 158 cm tall.
No ID was found on the body, and police have found no match on the database of missing people from the area.
Earlier this week a Korean woman in her 40s was found dead in her car's trunk in Flushing, New York. She went missing after finishing her night shift at a nearby food-supply warehouse in the early morning of May 24.
Her wallet was found on in the street a couple of days later, only containing her ID card. There are suspicions that she was robbed and killed.
