Rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae received 66.200 points and finished ninth in individual all-around at the first World Cup event of the year, which took place on Friday and Saturday in Lisbon.
She ranked seventh in hoop with 16.900 points, fourth in ball with 17.200 points and fifth in ribbon with 17.100 points to advance to the finals of each discipline where the top eight contenders competed.
However, she had a disappointing 26th place finish out of 33 athletes in clubs with 15.000 points. The discipline was the last for Son, who began the competition with the flu and made many mistakes such as losing her balance and dropping her clubs.
Russia's Margarita Mamun won the gold medal with a total of 72.200 points from all disciplines.
