Samsung Electronics unveiled the U.S. price tag for the new Galaxy S4 smartphone on Tuesday as US$650, bringing the total to around $748 including VAT.
Samsung plans to start selling the new phone in Korea in April, where industry insiders expect it to be significantly more expensive at around W930,000 or $835.
The reason is different specifications. While the model released in the U.S. has a quad-core CPU processor, the version sold in Korea will have an octa-core processor with an extra removable battery and an extended battery case.
