Bankruptcies Hit 23-Year Low

The number of Korean firms that went bankrupt last month hit the lowest level in 23 years.

Eighty-five companies  went bankrupt in February, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Bank of Korea.

That is 18 less than the previous month and a mere fraction of the number recorded in February 1998 in the wake of the Asian financial crisis.
