A subway train broke down and was out of service for almost one hour on Tuesday night, trapping over 600 passengers underground.

Operator KORAIL said the train experienced technical faults for 50 minutes between Namyeong and Yongsan stations on subway line No. 1 around 7:50 p.m.

The incident also disrupted train service to Incheon and Cheonan, meaning a big headache for commuters during rush hour.
