Spanish Press Pan Park Chu-young as Goal Drought Continues at Celta Vigo

The trials and tribulations of Park Chu-young seem to be never-ending these days. Atlantico Diario, a local paper in Vigo, Spain, described Celta Vigo's acquisition of the Korean striker as a total failure this week in an article lamenting the unsettled nature of the team due to the recent sacking of manager Paco Herrera as a result of a string of poor performances.

Since he scored his third goal of the season against Almeira in the Copa del Rey in November, Park has failed to find the back of the net. He has been unable to match Celta Vigo's expectation as the team acquired him from Arsenal on loan last August to strengthen the team's attacking line-up.

Celta Vigo have 22 goals this season, making the second-worst scorer in the league, where they sit in lowly 18th place with 20 points from five wins, five draws and 14 losses. In their last six games, they racked up a total of three goals from two draws and four losses.

Park, who slipped from being a first pick to a sub, did not see any pitch time against Getafe on Sunday.
