The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution Friday condemning North Korea for its recent nuclear test. The resolution calls on the U.S. government to implement "all available sanctions on North Korea and cooperate with U.S. allies to impose additional sanctions, including UN sanctions."
It was tabled on Wednesday by Rep. Ed Royce, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Rep. Eliot Engel, a ranking member in the committee.
U.S. lawmakers also urged China to decrease economic aid and pressure North Korean leaders to refrain from future provocations.
