POSCO has been named the most competitive steelmaker in the world for the fourth straight year.

World Steel Dynamics, a strategic information provider, announced the rankings of 34 global steelmakers on Tuesday based on 23 categories, such as expanding capacity, profitability, harnessing the technological revolution, pricing power with large buyers, and cost-cutting efforts.

POSCO has held on to the top spot since 2010. In the latest rankings, Russia's NLMK and Severstal came second and third, respectively.
