Ssangyong Releases 11-Seater Korando Turismo

Ssangyong Motor marked the release of its Korando Turismo with a launch event at the SETEC in Seoul on Tuesday. The automaker has invested W180 billion over the last two and a half years to develop the 11-seater multipurpose leisure vehicle, the successor to its Rodius van (US$=1,088).

The new model is equipped with a 2000 cc diesel engine and delivers up to 155 horsepower. There are four rows of seat but the second and third can be folded up to create an extensive flat space in the cabin for dining or stretching out.

Ssangyong has set a sales target of 20,000 units this year, half of them overseas. The Turismo costs between W24.8 million and W35.64 million.
