Six out of 10 people who want to show their family, friends or acquaintances that they care this Lunar New Year plan to give cash or gift vouchers, a poll suggests.
Online marketplace Auction carried out a survey of 3,497 subscribers, and 59 percent expressed a preference for such gifts. A further 17 percent named gift hampers of daily goods, while Korean beef or yellow corbina were picked by 10 percent, and health foods by 9 percent.
"It seems that more consumers are trying to spend frugally in this time of recession," said a spokesperson for Auction.
