Camry Named Car of the Year by Korean Journalists

Toyota's Camry has been voted Car of the Year 2013 by the Korea Automobile Journalist Association. This is the first time a foreign model has claimed the honor since the award was inaugurated three years ago.

Journalists covering the automobile industry from 33 media outlets selected 15 candidates from 45 cars released here between Oct. 2011 and Oct. 2012. They were evaluated in six categories, such as price, design, safety and fuel efficiency, before the final winner was chosen.

Kia's K5 won in the inaugural year, and Hyundai's i40 was honored in the second year.
