President-elect Park Geun-hye's annual salary has been set at W192.6 million or W16.04 million a month (US$1=W1,062). On top of that, she stands to make a W3.2 million allowance and W130,000 for meals plus other perks, bringing the total to W19.38 million a month, around 3.3 percent more than her predecessor President Lee Myung-bak's earnings.

The salary was decided in a Cabinet meeting on Thursday that raised civil servants' wages this year by 2.8 percent on average.
