Ryu So-yeon and Park In-bee were named as two of the "10 LPGA storylines to watch" by U.S. Golf Week on Sunday. Ryu, the 2012 Rookie of the Year, was ranked No.3, and Park, the winner of this season's money title and the Vare Trophy, came fourth.
On Ryu, Golf Week wrote, "The LPGA's Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year was extremely solid: 16 top-10s, second on the tour in GIR putts, second in scoring, second in birdies. She shot a blazing 62 on Sunday to win the Jamie Farr. The 2011 U.S. Women's Open winner transitioned nicely to the LPGA in 2012. She’ll only get better."
On Park, who won two titles along with six runner-up finishes, it said she "led the tour in two putting categories and recorded 10 consecutive top-10 finishes in 2012. Park will likely remain overshadowed next year, but that just means she's playing with less pressure. Look out."
Stacy Lewis of the U.S., the 2012 player of the year, came top of the list, and Taiwan’s Yani Tseng, the world No.1 who overcame a slump this year, came second. Japan's Chie Arimura, a 13-time champion in the JLPGA who earned a berth on the U.S. Tour next year, ranked fifth.
