Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet PC was chosen over the iPad to be included to Queen Elizabeth II's Royal Collection, the BBC reported Wednesday.
The royal family will keep one of the gadgets at Windsor Castle as part of a digital "time capsule" commemorating the queen's Diamond Jubilee.
It collected 150 gigabytes of video clips, photos and writings since she came to throne in 1952 from over 37,000 people in 66 countries.
Since this is more than one tablet PC can hold, 60 of them will be selected and saved on the Galaxy Note 10.1.
The 60 entries were chosen by judges that include the director general of the Royal Photographic Society and the Royal Librarian.
