Amid protracted global legal battles with Apple, Samsung looks set to ruffle its rival's feathers as it has bumped up the price of some of the chips used in smartphones and mobile gadgets.
Samsung raised the prices of its application processor chips by 20 percent on Sunday. Apple solely relies on the Korean company's chips to produce its iPads and iPhones.
Apple bought over 130 million AP chips from Samsung last year, and this year demand is expected to surpass 200 million. Samsung is under contract to supply the chips to Apple until 2014.
