Ki Sung-yueng helped dish his idol Steven Gerrard out of the League Cup on Thursday as Swansea beat Liverpool in the round of 16 of the English soccer competition.

Liverpool sent out many of its young guns for the game but this proved a mistake as Swansea ripped through the Liverpool defense to win 3-1 and move on to the quarterfinals.
