LG Electronics swept several top spots in an appliances roundup of the year by U.S. Magazine Consumer Reports.

LG ranked first in 10 categories: 46-51-inch LCD TVs, 40-43-inch LCD TVs, 42-48-inch PDP TVs, French-door refrigerators, drum washers, top-loading washers, clothes dryers (both gas and electric), 3D blu-ray players and regular blu-ray players.

Consumer Reports releases its roundup of "Best Products of the Year," including "top picks" and "great buys" in each category, every year's end.
