Apple's initial inventory of white iPad minis sold out within just 20 minutes of becoming available on a pre-order basis from midnight Friday, U.S. media reported over the weekend.
Those who attempted to place orders for the hot new gadget 20 minutes after midnight received a message that it could not be delivered until two weeks later.
The U.S. tech giant officially unveiled the 7.9-inch iPad mini tablet on Tuesday, and had the Wi-Fi version available for order in 34 countries on Friday.
