A preliminary ruling on Apple's patent-infringement lawsuit against Samsung at the U.S. International Trade Commission has been postponed by six days until Oct. 25, according to intellectual property blog Foss Patents, which cited Judge Thomas Pender's heavy caseload.
Apple has requested the ITC place an import ban on Samsung's smartphones and tablet PCs.
The ITC is a federal agency of the U.S. that has jurisdiction over trade within the U.S. and has the power to halt imports.
