Psy's "Gangnam Style" remained mired in the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 on Wednesday, seemingly unable to surmount Maroon 5's "One More Night," which has held the top spot for the last five weeks.
According to Billboard.biz, Psy's catchy song holds the upper hand in terms of on-demand songs, which is calculated based on how many people pay to stream the track. However, "the more than two-to-one radio advantage of 'Night' is enough to keep it at No. 1 on the Hot 100," the website said.
Psy, who has been in Australia since Tuesday, appeared in the popular audition program "The X Factor Australia" as well as on the "Sunrise" morning show. He will perform at "The Star," an entertainment venue near Darling Harbor, on Thursday.
Psy will leave for Los Angeles on Friday to resume promoting his song in the U.S. in a bid to drive it to the top of the charts and build demand for his next album.
