British Supermarket Chain to Carry Korean Food Items

A total of 49 items of 19 Korean food companies will be sold in 12 stores of Britain's leading supermarket chain Tesco from Thursday.

This is the first time products made by Korean food companies will be sold by a major supermarket chain in Britain.

The items were among those previously featured in a food fair in London from July 30 to Oct. 17 by Tesco, Homeplus and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Corporation (KOTRA) that generated considerable interest in Korean cuisine.

The fair featured 142 types of products by 25 food companies from small and medium sized firms to large corporations including CJ Cheiljedang, Lotte, and Daesang.
