Saenuri Party presidential candidate Park Geun-hye again expressed regret over abuses committed by her father, former president Park Chung-hee.

Visiting South Gyeongsang Province on Monday, Park offered condolences for those who died fighting for the democratization of the country and their families.

She also vowed her party will do its best to investigate the truth and regain its reputation.

Her remarks came a day ahead of the 33rd anniversary commemorating a pro-democracy movement in the region, which broke out in protest against Park senior's authoritarian rule.
