Jeon Ji-hyun
Actress Jeon Ji-hyun will become the sister-in-law of the only daughter of Singapore's richest man later this month.
According to sources in the business industry on Sunday, Jeon's brother-in-law, Choi Joon, will marry the daughter of Hong Leong Group founder Quek Leng Chan at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on Oct. 20.
Choi is one of the grandsons of famous hanbok designer Lee Young-hee, and his mother is fashion designer Lee Jung-woo. His younger brother Joon-hyuk married Jeon in April.
Choi graduated from the University of Michigan and had a short-lived career in showbiz as a member of the four-man dance group X-Large for about six months in 2001. He now works for Ssangyong Engineering and Construction, and he met his fiancée over 18 months ago while serving in the firm's Malaysian branch.
Choi's fiancée has two older brothers and reportedly heads one of her father's business units. Hong Leong Group was founded in Singapore in 1948 and has interests in hotels, banking and trade in Singapore and Malaysia. Hong Leong Bank is the largest private bank in Singapore, and the group has total assets worth $30 billion.
