The majority of manufacturers think business will get worse next month. According to the Bank of Korea on Thursday, the manufacturers outlook index fell to 72 for next month, down three points from September.
A reading below 100 means pessimists outnumber optimists.
The business sentiment of non-manufacturers was even bleaker, falling two points to 67. The figures come as concerns are growing about weakening domestic demand and lingering uncertainties over the eurozone crisis.
